Dr. Alisa Naiman
Dr. Alisa Naiman holds a degree in Family Medicine from the University of Toronto.
Dr. Naiman has also completed a Masters of Health Science in Community Health and Epidemiology at the University of Toronto. Following this, she completed an Academic Research Fellowship in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. She has also been a Strategic Training Fellow in Interdisciplinary Primary Health Care Research, Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
Dr. Naiman has worked in various branches of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care as a program analyst in the planning, development, and implementation of provincial health cards for the Minister of Health as well as the development of a provincial system to track health care annual reviews. She currently is a member of the Professional Consulting Source List for the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
An expert in her field, Dr. Naiman has appeared in the Toronto Star, National Post, Globe & Mail, CNN International, Global TV, and CBC. She appears weekly on The Medical Record on Zoomer Radio.
She is the co-resident research coordinator at Michael Garron Hospital and has lectured at the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.
When Dr. Naiman is not caring for patients and clients, she enjoys playing soccer, cycling, or spending time with family and friends.
