Dr. Joseph Rothstein
Dr. Joseph Rothstein was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. He attended McGill University where he completed his undergraduate degree in Physiology and his graduate degree in Otolaryngology. Thereafter, his studies took him abroad where he completed medical school at St. George’s University, spending a year in Newcastle, England, where he partook in the Keith B. Taylor Global Scholars program. His final years were completed in Grenada, West Indies, and Brooklyn, New York, where he encountered patients with a broad range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Following medical school, Dr. Rothstein completed his Family Medicine residency training in Plattsburgh, New York, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year.
Dr. Rothstein is a licensed member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the Canadian College of Family Physicians, and the Medical Council of Canada. Dr. Rothstein also holds a New York State independent family practice license, and is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Rothstein‘s interests include community and preventative medicine, with a focus on adult medicine. He is ecstatic to be joining the Forest Hill FHC team where he hopes to build strong relationships with his patients in order to best serve their individual needs.
